Little Nook Privacy Policy

Information Collection and Use

Little Nook stores your personal data locally on your mobile device, including your child's name, gender, and expected arrival date. This information is used to provide personalized clothing recommendations based on birth season and to help you track your wardrobe inventory.

Little Nook also offers an AI-powered clothing scan feature. When you use this feature, the photo is securely transmitted to our backend services (Supabase) and processed by the Google Gemini API for technical analysis (size, brand identification). The image is processed ephemerally and is not permanently stored on these servers.

To improve the service and understand which features are used the most, we collect anonymized usage statistics using the TelemetryDeck analytics service. The information sent does not include directly identifying data (such as your name, email address, or the detailed contents of your wardrobe), but only technical events (for example “home page viewed”, “button clicked”). TelemetryDeck is a GDPR-compliant service based in the European Union and does not reuse this data for targeted advertising.

AI Image Scanning & Third-Party Services

Little Nook offers an AI-powered scanning feature to help you automatically identify baby clothing details such as brands and sizes. When you use this feature, the photo is securely transmitted to our backend (Supabase) and processed by the Google Gemini API.

Photos processed for AI identification are used exclusively for real-time analysis and are not stored permanently on our servers. Your photos are not used to train AI models or for any marketing purposes. Apart from this functional scan, your wardrobe inventory and personal data remain stored locally on your device.

Cookies

Little Nook operates as a local mobile application and does not use cookies to track your activity.

Location Information

This service does not use, request, or transmit any location information from your mobile device.

Third-Party Service Providers

To provide the AI scanning functionality, Little Nook uses technical service providers including Supabase (backend infrastructure) and Google Cloud/Gemini (AI image analysis). These third parties process data solely for the purpose of providing the scanning feature and are contractually obligated not to use your data for their own purposes, including AI model training.

In addition, we use TelemetryDeck, a privacy‑friendly analytics service based in the European Union, to collect anonymized usage statistics as described above. TelemetryDeck only receives technical events (for example which type of screen was viewed) and does not receive the contents of your wardrobe or any direct identifiers.

We do not integrate any advertising or marketing tracking services. Your wardrobe data, including categories and item quantities, remains private on your device; only anonymized usage information is sent to TelemetryDeck to help us improve the app.

Security

Little Nook stores your data locally, so its security relies on the protection of your own device. We recommend using your device's built-in security features, such as passcodes or biometrics, to safeguard your information.

When using the AI scan feature, data transmission to our service providers is encrypted using industry-standard protocols.

Children's Privacy

Little Nook is designed for parents and does not knowingly collect identifiable information from children under 13. Personal data is stored locally on the parent's device. Photos used for AI scanning are processed ephemerally and are not permanently stored on external servers.
